Maternity Visitor Policy

At Saint Agnes, we’re honored to be part of your birth story. Our maternity visitation guidelines are designed to balance a warm, supportive environment for your growing family with the safety and comfort of every mom and baby we serve. We hope the information below helps you feel prepared and at ease as you plan your stay with us.

If you have questions or special circumstances, our maternity team is always happy to help. We look forward to caring for you with compassion, dignity, and respect every step of the way.

Maternity visitation guidelines

The following visitation guidelines for patients in Saint Agnes Maternity are in effect as of Friday, July 19, 2024:

Visiting Hours

  • General visiting hours: 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., daily
  • No age restrictions during general visiting hours. Children 17 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Your Primary Support Person

  • Each expectant mom may designate one (1) primary support person to be with her throughout her entire hospital stay
  • This person may not rotate with others
  • Your primary support person may stay overnight

Visitors During Labor and Delivery

  • In addition to the primary support person, up to two (2) additional visitors are permitted during the labor process
  • These additional visitors may rotate in and out
  • Vaginal delivery: a maximum of three (3) people total may be present in the room at the time of delivery (including the primary support person)
  • Cesearean section (C-section): only the primary support person may be present

Sibling Visits

  • Siblings must be in good health if visiting
  • Siblings 17 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult visitor at all times
  • Siblings are not allowed to be present during labor and delivery
  • Siblings may not stay overnight
