A message from our Program Director

Michael MoyaOn behalf of our faculty and staff, I'd like to personally welcome you to the Saint Agnes Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program.

Our program is community-based and proudly rooted in Fresno, California—a vibrant city of approximately 546,000 residents and part of Fresno County, home to more than 1 million people. The region is surrounded by rural and underserved communities that reflect the diversity and resilience of California's Central Valley. This setting provides an ideal environment for our residents to develop the knowledge, skills and compassion needed to serve as advocates for the patients and communities they will one day care for.

Our graduates are prepared to provide comprehensive primary care across the full spectrum of Family Medicine, including inpatient medicine, pediatrics, women's health, and basic obstetric care.

Fresno and the greater San Joaquin Valley are known as the agricultural heart of the world. Here, you'll find a welcoming community, year-round Farmers' Markets, and a mix of well-known retailers alongside locally-owned shops and restaurants. The region offers an affordable cost of living, excellent schools, and easy access to some of California's most beautiful outdoor destinations, including Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks. We're also just a short drive (2-3 hours) from major cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles, and our full-service airport provides convenient connections to destinations across the country.

We look forward to getting to know you and answering any questions you may have as you explore what makes Saint Agnes such a special place to train and learn.
