Dr. Leopoldo Hartmann Manrique joined the Saint Agnes Medical Center Sports Medicine Fellowship Program in July 2026 after completing his Family Medicine Residency at the Rio Bravo Family Medicine Residency Program in Bakersfield, California.
Originally from Venezuela, Dr. Hartmann earned his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Experiemental Francisco de Miranda before completing an orthopedic surgery residency and a spine surgery fellowship. he later earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research Management from Arizona State University before completing his Family Medicine residency in California.
His clinical interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided procedures, regenerative medicine, sports injury prevention, and clinical research. During fellowship, he looks forward to caring for athletes and active individuals while continuing to promote evidence-based musculoskeletal care in the Central Valley
Throughout his training, Dr. Hartmann has provided sideline coverage for local high school athletics and participated in community sports physicals. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, playing golf, hiking, cooking, and exploring the outdoors. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is passionate about helping patients lead active, healthy lives.
