The American Cancer Society and the vast majority of health experts recommend that all women receive an annual mammogram beginning at age 40. That's because it’s the best way to detect breast cancer at its earliest, most treatable stage.
At Saint Agnes, we offer digital screening mammography, plus the innovative Hologic Selenia® Dimensions® 3D mammography system. This new 3D mammography technology finds smaller, more curable cancers, leading to earlier detection and greater peace of mind. When combined with 2D mammography, this technology is shown to have a higher cancer detection rate for both dense breast tissue and non-dense breast tissue. All scans are read and interpreted by a team of expert radiologists with the highest level of skill. Patients who require a diagnostic mammogram receive their results before they leave. If an abnormality is found, we'll work closely with you, providing support and answers to your questions.
The Saint Agnes breast program is designated as an American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and is accredited in every breast imaging category possible: breast magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.

As you look ahead at your 2021 calendar, be sure to make time for regular health screenings – including your annual mammogram. Research shows that the best protection against breast cancer is regular cancer screenings. So, whether you're scheduling your annual appointment, or you haven't had a mammogram in a few years, you can schedule online with Saint Agnes Breast Center in less time than it takes to order those new shoes you've been eyeing.
PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended that you schedule your screening mammogram before your first COVID-19 vaccine dose or at least 4 weeks after your second dose. About 1 in 5 people who receive the vaccine may temporarily experience a change in the size of the lymph nodes in their armpit area that could cause inaccurate results, requiring further evaluation.
