Saint Agnes names new Chief Medical Officer, Bessant Parker, MD, MBA, to the executive team.
Dr. Parker is an accomplished physician executive with extensive leadership experience across the United States and internationally. Most recently, he served as Co-CEO and Chief Medical Officer at Reset Kidney Health (RKH) in Ukiah, California. Dr. Parker helped co-found RKH to provide high-quality, multidisciplinary care for patients which chronic kidney disease across multiple states through virtual and at-home visits.
He is passionate about finding simple, actionable solutions for complex business and patient care issues, and seeks to leverage his expertise to maximize operational objectives and maintain industry-leading quality standards. Prior to starting RKH, Dr. Parker served as Regional Chief Medical Officer for Adventist Health, overseeing physician leadership for five hospitals across the Mendocino, Lake and Napa Counties.
Dr. Parker earned his Medical Degree from the University of Ghana before moving to the United States to pursue his medical career. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency through Columbia University, the affiliation at Harlem Hospital Center, in New York. He later went on to receive an MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
