Saint Agnes Medical Center Named Best Regional Hospital for the Third Year In-A-Row
August 14, 2026Fresno, CA - For the third year in-a-row, Saint Agnes Medical Center has been named a Best Regional Hospital 2026-2027 by U.S. News & World Report.
Saint Agnes was also named a High Performing hospital in thirteen categories – the highest distinction a hospital can earn for Procedures & Conditions ratings.

Last, but certainly not least, Saint Agnes once again received the award for Best Regional Hospital for Community Access 2026-2027 – one of only 73 hospitals nationwide to win the award. Hospitals in this category were recognized for excellent performance in quality, accessible care for historically underserved communities.

The annual healthcare ratings are designed to assist patients and their healthcare providers in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures.

U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals across 14 adult specialties and 23 procedures and conditions; only 16 percent of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals designation. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience.
To determine the Best Hospitals, U.S. News analyzed each hospital’s performance based on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and patient experience. The Best Hospitals Specialty rankings methodology and Procedures & Conditions ratings methodology measure patient outcomes using data from over 800 million records of patient care.
