Saint Agnes Medical Center is excited to announce that after a comprehensive national search, we have selected our new President and Market Leader – Gurvinder Kaur, MD, MHA.
A seasoned health care executive and physician leader, Dr. Kaur comes to Saint Agnes from Adventist Health, Central Valley Network, where for these past three years, she has served as Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Central Valley Network. Prior to that role, Dr. Kaur was the Senior Regional Director of Vituity, where she oversaw hospitalists, post-acute care practices and Emergency Department practices, creating financial stability and overseeing quality improvement efforts. Dr. Kaur was also a Board of Directors Member for Vituity, where she provided strategy, governance and oversight of organizational culture.
In her leadership role at Adventist, Dr. Kaur played a key role in reigniting and expanding patient services – including DaVinci robotics, palliative care, surgical services, lung nodule program, outpatient cardiology diagnostics and cardiac cath lab, following the pandemic.
"Because of her background in Internal Medicine, her tenure at Vituity, a national Physician group, and leadership position at Adventist, Dr. Kaur has a deep understanding of health care operations, physician practice dynamics and an understanding of strategic knowledge of the emerging trends in navigating the complex landscape of the provider side of the health care industry," says Odette Bolano, President and CEO Trinity Health West Region. "I am pleased to welcome Dr. Kaur as the most senior leader at Saint Agnes, focused on setting and leading the market strategy for Saint Agnes, and the talent and gifts she brings that will help strengthen our ministry in Fresno and across Trinity Health’s West Region."
Originally from India, Dr. Kaur moved to Los Angeles in 2004 to continue her medical studies at the University of Southern California (USC). She went on to complete her internal medicine residency at Los Angeles General Medical Center (formerly LAC+USC Medical Center). Dr. Kaur also holds a Master’s in Health Administration from USC.
Dr Kaur and her husband, Dr. Paramvir Sidhu, have two children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and hiking in the Sequoias.
