U.S. News & World Report has recognized Saint Agnes Medical Center as one of the Best Regional Hospitals in California.

In its 2018-19 ranking of U.S. hospitals, U.S. News recognized Saint Agnes as one of the Best Regional Hospitals in California for its high performing ratings in Heart Bypass Surgery, Heart Failure and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

According to U.S. News, of the more than 4,500 U.S. hospitals evaluated by the U.S. News Health Rankings team, only 12 percent achieved "Best" status.

Each year, U.S. News analyzes hospital performance in 25 clinical specialties, procedures and conditions. Scores are based on several factors, including survival, patient safety, nurse staffing and more.

"We're humbled to be in the company of other prestigious California hospitals, but even more rewarding is knowing that we’re delivering on our promise to provide members of our community the exceptional care they deserve," said Saint Agnes Medical Center President and CEO Nancy Hollingsworth, RN.

Other California hospitals that have earned U.S. News accolades include the University of California at San Francisco, Stanford Hospital, UCLA Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
