What is Ion Robotic Bronchoscopy?

Ion is a minimally invasive robotic-assisted platform that allows our physicians to perform highly accurate biopsies of small, hard-to-reach nodules deep within the lung. This advanced tool offers a safer and more precise alternative to traditional methods — often before symptoms appear or cancer spreads.

The Ion features an ultra-thin highly maneuverable catheter equipped with a camera, allowing for precise navigation and tissue sampling deep within the lungs, where more than 70% of cancerous nodules are located. This approach can expedite diagnosis and treatment by allowing your doctor to precisely mark lung nodules, improving patient outcomes.
