About
Shelley Kaur Dhillon, MD, MS, is a board-certified and fellowship trained Rheumatologist. Dhillon completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Saint Agnes Medical Center and her Rheumatology fellowship at the University of California, Irvine. She also has a master’s degree in Global Medicine from University of Southern California-Keck School of Medicine.
Dr. Dhillon approaches every patient with genuine care and compassion. It is deeply rewarding when patients feel truly heard and validated—whether that means confirming a diagnosis or acknowledging that their symptoms are real and deserve attention. In situations where a diagnosis is still evolving, she prioritizes education, transparency and reassurance. She strives to evaluate, manage, and counsel each individual not just as a patient with a medical condition, but as a whole person with unique experiences and concerns.
Dr. Dhillon was drawn to medicine not only by a fascination with anatomy and physiology but by her passion for connecting with patients to educate and empower them to take ownership of their health. She is committed to helping patients understand their conditions and make informed decisions about their care. She is also deeply passionate about teaching the social and environmental determinants of health, as well as the important role that nutrition and exercise play in overall well-being.
Outside of work, Dr. Dhillon strives to live a balanced and joyful life. Staying connected with the Sikh community and mentoring medical students and residents is important to her. She treasures spending quality time with loved ones and exploring new places, cultures and experiences. Dr. Dhillon also enjoys sharing life’s adventures with her puppy, Minnie. She can often be found on a yoga mat, enjoying a resistance workout or taking a quiet moment to meditate and recharge. While she loves nourishing, wholesome food, she is also a true foodie who delights in discovering new restaurants and cuisines, both locally and while traveling.
