During the COVID-19 pandemic, Saint Agnes continues to perform essential surgeries and procedures for patients for whom a delay could cause harm. With safety being of one of our core values and a top priority, we have enhanced protocols in place to protect you and our caregivers throughout your stay. We are ready to provide care for select surgeries, procedures and other critical services.
We are proceeding with a phased approach and continuing to follow CDC and state COVID-19 guidance regarding appropriate testing, workforce needs and supplies, which we are monitoring daily. In line with our core value of Safety, Saint Agnes will do all it can to provide a safe environment for patients, colleagues and physicians by establishing COVID-Free Zones to separate patients under investigation (PUI) or confirmed to have COVID-19 from others in our facilities. COVID-Free Zones are areas where we provide care only for people not known to have COVID-19 or COVID-19 symptoms.
Your health and safety are our top priorities, so be assured that Saint Agnes is taking all the necessary precautions to safely care for you and your loved ones with the high quality, compassionate care you deserve.
COVID-19 Vaccine
Saint Agnes remains committed to keeping you and our communities informed and educated as major developments occur. There are many questions about the COVID-19 vaccine. We’ve heard you and put together a list of answers to the most asked questions.
Your safety continues to be our top priority at Saint Agnes. We're taking extra steps, exceeding standards and finding new and innovative ways to keep you safe. By protecting you, keeping you at ease, and always doing what's right for the community ... that's what we've pledge to do.
Current Visitor Policy
For the safety of our patients, colleagues and providers safe, our current visitor policy states NO VISITORS, one single point of entry into the Medical Center and mask requirements. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis for maternity, end-of-life and procedural patients.
As part of our efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community, we have developed the Pledge to Protect – a promise to appropriately mask, physically distance, practice proper hand hygiene and care for others. The pledge is a promise from each one of us at Saint Agnes to protect our patients and colleagues, the people we love, and the community we share.
Join us as we pledge to protect your loved ones and the Central Valley.
I pledge…
COVID-19 presents with a wide range of symptoms that range from mild to severe. Symptoms may appear 2–14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19.
Saint Agnes Medical Center is NOT a public testing site for COVID-19. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, consult your provider or click here to schedule a video visit with one of our urgent care providers.
Urgent Care is more convenient than ever. Now, stay home and get the medical care you need by scheduling online.

We are reaching out to patients who had a surgery or procedure postponed to reassess their condition, discuss the risks of COVID-19 and determine the best path forward for their health and well-being.
For visits such as routine check-ups, we are continuing to follow CDC guidelines. We can help you schedule an in-person visit, Video Visits or reschedule a non-essential appointment to a later date.
If you are feeling sick, have a preexisting condition or have a chronic disease, we want to make sure you do not postpone care that you need to get healthy and stay well.
To reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19, we've set up COVID-Free zones in our facilities for all patients who are receiving non-COVID-related care. COVID-Free Zones are areas where we provide care only for people not known to have COVID-19 or COVID symptoms.
To keep our patients, colleagues and providers safe, masks are required while on hospital grounds. If you do not have a mask, you will be provided one.
We continue to limit visitors at our facilities with our No Visitor policy. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. All visitors will be screened and are required to wear masks. For more, click here.
All maternity and procedural patients will receive a COVID-19 test 72-hours prior to your date of arrival.
If a procedural patient tests positive, the procedure will be postponed until a negative result is obtained. At the time of a negative test result, the procedure will continue as planned in the COVID-Free Zone (COVID-Free Zones are areas where we provide care only for people not known to have COVID-19 or COVID symptoms). For more procedural details, click here.
For maternity patients, if postive, you will be treated as a COVID-postive patient and PPE will be required at all times. For more maternity details, click here.
Your safety is our utmost concern. Safety is one of our core values and a top priority. Learn more about our commitment to your safety.
We've set up COVID-19 Free Zones to keep COVID-19-positive patients separate from others. We have the needed personal protective equipment (PPE), screening and testing in place for all patient care facilities. Appropriate testing, workforce, and supplies are monitored daily, and we continue to clean and disinfect high touch surfaces to prevent transmission of the virus following the CDC's standards for COVID-19 safety.
You may be afraid anytime you need to visit a hospital or receive medical care, and we understand this is a more concerning time than usual. We are here for you and are committed to keeping you safe while you get the medical care you need.
Virtual Care is available from the comfort of home for both well and sick visits. You can also call your physician for an appointment or to schedule a surgery, procedure or in-person visit.
