In the early 1980s, Saint Agnes expanded its outreach beyond the hospital to include sponsorship of Holy Cross Center for Women.
To help address the problem of substandard medical care for the poor and uninsured, Saint Agnes sponsors the Holy Cross Clinic at Poverello House. These charities provide vital medical, dental, and social services assistance to the poor and homeless of our community.
In 2002, the Holy Cross Center for Women joined with Poverello House and the Marjaree Mason Center to create Naomi's House, an overnight shelter for homeless women with a 24-bed capacity.
Footsteps, an expressive arts therapy program sponsored by Saint Agnes Hospice, offers support for children and teens who have experienced the loss of a loved one. More than 6,000 children and their adult caregivers have attended our Footsteps support groups since 1990.
