Saint Agnes ranked among Top Hospitals for Maternity Care
Saint Agnes Medical Center was a recipient of the 2010/2011 Maternity Care Excellence AwardTM for the fifith Year in a Row (2007/2008-2010/2011), was Ranked Among the Top 5% in the Nation for Maternity Care for the fourth Year in a Row (2008/2009-2010/2011).
Further underscoring its quality work in women's health, Saint Agnes Medical Center was 5-Star Rated for Maternity Care for the seventh Year in a Row (2005 & 2006/2007-2010/2011).

Saint Agnes Diagnostic Breast Center named Breast Imaging Center of Excellence 
Saint Agnes Diagnostic Breast Center joined the ranks of top breast imaging facilities nationwide by being named a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE) by the American College of Radiology (ACR). It's a distinction that our Diagnostic Breast Center shares with only 7 percent of certified breast imaging centers nationwide.
When you see the ACR gold seal displayed at Saint Agnes Diagnostic Breast Center and other imaging facilities nationwide, you can be sure that you're at a site that meets high standards for imaging quality and safety. The BICOE designation is awarded to breast imaging centers that earn full accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound (including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy) by ACR.
To reach this achievement, the Diagnostic Breast Center underwent a rigorous review of personnel qualifications, equipment requirements, quality assurance, and quality control procedures by a team of board-certified physicians and medical physicists.

Saint Agnes Breast Center earns Two Gold Seals of Accreditation
Saint Agnes was recently awarded two three-year accreditations by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Saint Agnes Breast Center at The Plaza was reaccredited in Mammography (2010-2013), and the Saint Agnes Diagnostic Breast Center received its first-ever accreditation in Stereotactic Breast Biopsy (2010-2013).
The ACR gold seal of accreditation means that Saint Agnes has met the highest level of patient safety standards and image quality. This distinction is only given to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a comprehensive peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.

Saint Agnes ranked among the Top 15 California Hospitals for High Breastfeeding Rates
Saint Agnes once again ranked among the Top 15 California Hospitals in a survey of breastfeeding rates according to a study by the University of California at Davis, Human Lactation Center (UCD HCL) and the California WIC Association (CWA). Based on 2007 breastfeeding data from hundreds of delivery hospitals throughout the state, results for Fresno County show statistics ranging from a low of 10 percent to a Saint Agnes high of 75.9 percent.

Recognized leader in Women's Healthcare
Two years in a row, Saint Agnes was recognized as a recipient of the 2006/2007 HealthGrades Women's Health Excellence AwardTM and received a five-star rating for women's health services, which includes cardiac and stroke outcomes for women as well as maternity care. The hospital is the only 2006/2007 Women's Health Excellence Award recipient in the Central Valley.
