"I knew Pete's situation was grim"
For me, it began 35 years ago as a nurse at Saint Agnes caring for my patient, Pete. One year later, we were married.
My latest chapter unfolded last July when Pete went into sudden cardiac arrest. Luckily he was rushed to Saint Agnes. Having gone without a pulse for 50 minutes, I knew Pete's situation was grim.
But what a blessing to have colleagues – my extended family – by our side, sharing stories of hope! By God's grace, Pete awoke from his coma two weeks later and has made an astounding recovery. Some relationships are just meant to be. I'm glad Saint Agnes has been part of our family all along. – Karen Torstensen
