If you are without insurance coverage, our team will confidentially work with you to determine if you may be eligible for a government-funded program or our own Charity Assistance Program.
It's important that you share your situation with us as soon as possible, as many of these programs have very strict guidelines and time limits.
We are committed to: Providing access to quality healthcare services with compassion, dignity and respect for those we serve, particularly the poor and the underserved in our communities.
- Caring for all persons, regardless of their ability to pay for services.
- Assisting patients who cannot pay for part or all of the care they receive.
- Balancing needed financial assistance for some patients with broader fiscal responsibilities in order to sustain viability and provide the quality and quantity of services for all who may need care in a community.
The hospital's Financial Support (Charitable Assistance) Program is available for uninsured and underinsured patients whose economic resources or financial status prevents them from meeting their financial obligations to Saint Agnes Medical Center.
- The Charitable Assistance Program applies to all patients regardless of race, creed, sex or age. Our trained and knowledgeable financial counseling staff will be happy to discuss our Charitable Assistance Program with anyone expressing an inability to meet his or her financial obligation to the Medical Center.
- The Charitable Assistance Program applies to all types of medically necessary services, including medical and support service, rendered by Saint Agnes Medical Center. Such services include, but are not limited to, inpatient, outpatient, emergency, clinic, home health care, and hospice services. (Cosmetic and/or medically unnecessary services are excluded from consideration under this program.)
- Trauma and emergency care will be provided to all patients, regardless of the patient's ability to pay. We will discuss your financial obligation with you only after the physician has deemed you medically stable.
- Saint Agnes endeavors to respond to the needs of its patients insofar as its resources and capabilities allow. In some cases, we may find it necessary to restrict Charitable Assistance for certain services. However, if you wish to learn more about our program, we urge you to talk with our financial counselors.
- Our program extends only to services provided/billed by the Medical Center. Services such as physician services, private duty nursing, and ambulance transport, etc. (those services not provided or billed by the Medical Center) are not covered by our program. Our program is currently limiting assistance for elective/nonurgent care to only those in need within the community we serve.
