Saint Agnes patients and their referring physicians can take comfort in knowing that our Cardiovascular Diagnostic Services (CVDS) department provides the highest level of diagnostic testing, often eliminating the need for additional, more invasive tests. In fact, ours is the only cardiovascular lab in the Central Valley to receive a three-year accreditation in Carotid Ultrasound by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL). Additionally, the lab earned a three-year accreditation in Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL).
Thousands of cardiac and vascular studies to identify what – in many cases – would be life-threatening conditions, are performed by CVDS each year. These painless, non-invasive tests are provided on an inpatient and outpatient basis:
