  Mark your calendars for the 2010 Fresno Cross City Race, Sunday, October 3, in downtown Fresno, sponsored by Saint Agnes Men’s Club. Races begin at Chukchansi Park (1800 Tulare St). Events include a 2-mile run, walk and wheelchair race at 7 a.m.; a 10K run, walk, and wheelchair race at 7:45 a.m.; and kids races (ages 3-12) beginning at 9 a.m. Family-friendly activities run from 9 a.m.-noon and include food and drinks, face painting, local mascots, music, bounce houses and more.   This six-week session offers an opportunity for moral support and education about the grief process for those who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one. • Heart Health for Heart Failure
  The goal of treatment for heart failure is to help the heart muscle pump stronger and work less. This 90-minute class will educate patients and their caregivers on heart function, heart failure, importance of weighing regularly, medications, diet, activity, complications, as well as self-help, medical treatment plans and psychological aspects.   Group offers emotional support and education to help people with new ostomies or future ostomies deal with the changes in their lifestyle. Ostomate's support persons are also welcome to attend. • Footsteps - Support for Significant Loss
  Footsteps is a six-week expressive arts program providing grief support for children and teens (4 - 18) who have experienced a death in the family. Parent/Caregiver support groups meet at the same time as the children. Registration is required. Scholarships are available and no one is turned down for lack of funds.
