Hummus with Whole Wheat Pita Chips Recipe

Hummus with whole wheat pita chips is a healthy substitute for the regular chips and dips at parties.

Ingredients

    • 1 16 oz can garbanzo beans, rinsed and dried
    • 3/4 cup fresh basil
    • 1/4 cup pine nuts
    • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Pita Chips:

    • 4 whole wheat pitas, halved and cut into sixths
    • Garlic powder

Preparation

    • For Hummus: Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth, refrigerate until served.
    • For Pita Chips: Spray both sides with cooking spray and sprinkle with garlic powder. Broil on high for 5 minutes or until chips are crispy and slightly browned.
