Saint Agnes Medical Center recently earned the Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR) from the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). Only 27 hospitals in California received this year’s award, and Saint Agnes is the only medical facility in the greater Fresno area to earn this year’s distinction.
The QRCR program was developed by the AARC to help consumers identify facilities using qualified respiratory therapists to provide respiratory care. Hospitals that have earned the AARC designation follow strict safety and quality criteria to ensure the highest standards of respiratory care, including:
Respiratory therapists are available 24 hours a day.
Respiratory therapists delivering bedside respiratory care are legally recognized by California as competent to provide respiratory care services or hold Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.
A doctor of medicine or osteopathy is designated as medical director of Respiratory Care Services.
