Fresno, CA – For the 17th consecutive year, Valley residents chose Saint Agnes Medical Center as their National Consumer Choice Award winner. Saint Agnes was one of a select group of hospitals nationwide to receive the 2012/13 award for overall quality and image, and is one of only 42 hospitals nationwide to receive this distinction 17 years in a row.
This award is based on the Ticker Study conducted by National Research Corporation (NRC) of more than 250,000 households representing 450,000 people. This is the 17th year that NRC has named the top hospitals in markets throughout the United States.
"Providing the highest level of quality and safety is a promise our staff and physicians take very seriously," Nancy Hollingsworth, RN, President and CEO, says. "This award is especially gratifying because it represents another vote of confidence from our community."
Saint Agnes is proud to share this 17-year Consumer Choice distinction with some of the nation's finest healthcare facilities, including Johns Hopkins Hospital, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and Yale-New Haven Hospital.
NRC is a recognized industry leader with more than two decades of experience in healthcare performance measurement and improvement. The Ticker Study is the nation's largest and most comprehensive study of its kind.
