Fresno, CA – For the 16th consecutive year, Valley residents chose Saint Agnes Medical Center as their National Consumer Choice Award winner. Saint Agnes was one of a select group of hospitals nationwide to receive the 2011/12 award for overall quality and image, and is one of only 42 hospitals nationwide to receive this distinction 16 years in a row.
This distinction is based on the Ticker Study conducted by National Research Corporation (NRC) of more than 250,000 households representing 450,000 people. This is the 16th year that NRC has named the top hospitals in markets throughout the United States.
“This award is especially gratifying because it represents our community’s faith in our ability to care for them and their loved ones with the highest level of quality and compassion,” Nancy Hollingsworth, RN, President and CEO, says. “It’s a promise we take very seriously and will work hard to keep so we remain worthy of your confidence.”
Saint Agnes is proud to share this 16-year Consumer Choice distinction with some of the nation’s finest healthcare facilities, including Johns Hopkins Hospital, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and Yale-New Haven Hospital.
NRC is a recognized industry leader with more than two decades of experience in healthcare performance measurement and improvement. The Ticker Study is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive study of its kind.
