Saint Agnes was recently awarded two three-year accreditations by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Saint Agnes Breast Center at The Plaza was reaccredited in Mammography (2010-2013), and the Saint Agnes Diagnostic Breast Center received its first-ever accreditation in Stereotactic Breast Biopsy (2010-2013).
The ACR's gold seal of accreditation means that Saint Agnes has met the highest level of patient safety standards and image quality. This distinction is only given to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a comprehensive peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.
The ACR is a national professional organization serving more than 34,000 diagnostic/interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
