Saint Agnes Ranked Among Top Hospitals for Maternity Care

Saint Agnes is a recipient of the 2009/2010 Maternity Care Excellence Award and Ranked among the Top 5% in the nation for Maternity Care in The Sixth Annual HealthGrades Women’s Health in American Hospitals study released in June 2009.

Further underscoring its quality work in women’s health, Saint Agnes Medical Center has been rated 5-Star for Maternity Care five years in a row (2005 & 2006/2007-2009/2010). The new 2010 HealthGrades hospital ratings are posted online at HealthGrades’ public Web site, www.healthgrades.com.

Saint Agnes Ranked Among the Top 15 California Hospitals
for High Breastfeeding Rates

Saint Agnes has once again been ranked among the Top 15 California hospitals in a survey of breastfeeding rates according to a study by the University of California at Davis, Human Lactation Center (UCD HCL) and the California WIC Association (CWA). Based on 2007 breastfeeding data from hundreds of delivery hospitals throughout the state, results for Fresno County show statistics ranging from a low of 10 percent to Saint Agnes' high of 75.9 percent.

Recognized Leader in Women's Healthcare

Two years in a row, Saint Agnes was also recognized as a recipient of the 2006/2007 HealthGrades Women’s Health Excellence Award™ and received a five-star rating for women’s health services, which includes cardiac and stroke outcomes for women as well as maternity care. The hospital is the only 2006/2007 Women’s Health Excellence Award recipient in the Central Valley.
